the best part of the 4th of july!

~Fruit Pizza~

Shawn makes the BEST fruit pizza in the world, its one of the reasons I married him! LOL! but this time, he made a red white and blue one that was not only beautiful but seriously, it was ridiculously delicious. So that was my favorite part of the day...(the berries are from our garden!)

I might be wrong, but my guess would be that Shawn's favorite part of the day was his killer breakfast of eggs and bacon, hash browns, sausage and toast, (we skipped the pancakes this year) but it was still wonderfully decadent and high in calories!

William's favorite part of the 4th, with out doubt, was doing the fire works with dad out front! Although he is sensitive to loud noises his little face lit up just as much as the fire crackers we set off! And eagerly handed Shawn the next round of sparkling, noisy explosives!

Ivy, on the other hand could have cared less about the fire works! She was saying "All done! All done!" after about the second fire work! Except for when she spotted the mosquitoes buzzing around us! And would get so excited as she pointed out and screamed bug! bug! bug! each time one caught her attention! lol Go figure!

Walking...wait was that a bug?!!!!

yes! it was a bug! "a bug! a bug!"

It flew away... "all done! let go inside!"
All in all, it was a wonderful day! It was nice to be with family, and spend time enjoying the freedoms we have here in this beautiful country. Knowing our kids can play in safety and peace,
having a bounty of food to fill there bellies and a sure knowledge that god still loves and protects this promised land as we put our trust in him!
