Ivy Janee Lyman was born July 6th, 2006
"our first hello"
she had a bit of a hard time breathing when she was first born so they whist her away to get her stable. then brought her back to me all bundled and clean and breathing!
"bonding with dad"i love when Shawn plays with the babies! since you cant really "play" with newbies he likes to make faces at them and imitate their responses. very entertaining!
(for the kids and who ever else is lucky enough to be watching!)
"Ivy in her blessing dress"
i looked for sooooo long to find the "perfect" dress for Ivys blessing day. and finally found this beautiful dress online. it was a little more then i would liked to have spent, but it was worth every penny! she looked like a little ball of lace and fluff... a little angel!
"one year portrait"
I wanted to get some special pictures taken when Ivy turned a year old, and where can you find a more beautiful backdrop then the Portland temple gardens! notice she is wearing her blessing dress! (but with out the bonnet.) I know! I was amazed it still fit as it was a 3-6 month dress!
but i am so glad it did.
"brotherly love!"this has always been one of my favorite pictures of the kids! they were so happy that day and just having such fun together! William used to call Ivy his" little diamond" which i always thought was so sweet. especially since i had never explained to him what a diamond was, he just knew she was special!
"a few of her favorite things!"
The hat she is wearing was made by Mormor (her great grandma on Shawn's side) and for the longest time it was what she had to wear.... every where! (good thing she looks so cute in it!) and another common item you will see ivy have is "sting teez" (string cheese) her very most favorite food in the world next to candy of coarse! she will even ask for it in her sleep! lol
The last 2 years have been full of laughs, giggles tears and tantrums! but I can't imagine my life with out our little Ivy she really is a gem! And we love her dearly!
