manicure any one?

Ivy is such a girlie girl! when i took her to target to pick out a toy, we walked up and down the toy isles for like 45 mins. as i tried to get her interested in the dolls, or the Disney princess figures, the coloring books, any thing! she had no interest at all in any of it.
so as we were walking out she spotted the nail polish isle! and was just captivated! she sat there carefully inspecting each color, shaking the bottles to mix the color (like she sees me do when i paint her nails) then when she decided it was not the color for her she carefully put it back on the shelf, until she found it! a "hot barbie pink iridescent color" that just made her face light up with utter delight! and she held it up to me like she had found the holy grail of fingernail polish!
needless to say that was what we bought for her, and of course we had to get the matching lip gloss, and she was delighted when we got home and tried it out! she sat still and let me do both hands and feet, smiling the whole time!
and when aunt Janee came over to play, what better way to spend some girl time then doing each others nails! me and Janee painted Ivy's toes then ivy decided it was her turn to paint our nails soooo... this is the result of Ivy's very first manicure! (not bad for a 1.5 year old if you ask me!)
