the anti-casserole mormon?!!

so, do to joey's urges, for us to have religious based blogs and discussions, i have come up with an idea that i thought i would run across family and friends first before i put it out there into the vast world of blogs.

so here it is....THE ANTI-CASSEROLE MORMON
as a latter day saint women, who...how to put this? ummm, lets say... doesn't always seem to "fit" into the "typical" mold of a Mormon wife. and just because i don't pop out babies every 9 months, make elaborate Jell-O molds, hand sew my daughters clothes, or scrap book the heck out of my life... i am no less in faith then those who can and do all those things. And to show that latter day saint women are very diverse! and maybe also show other LDS women that even though i may not appear to be the same as they are, my core beliefs ARE! ( then maybe some one will want to sit by me in relief society!) LOL!
BUT SERIOUSLY...

I would share my thoughts and testimony on different topics that i feel inspired to share. the life lessons i have learned growing up, and how i feel the hand of god touch my life, in spite of the fact i may not have always been... or ever was the epitome of "Molly Mormon."

i would make sure i swung it in a positive light, and focus more on just my own experience and thoughts. keep it light and fun, but hopefully have my undeniable faith in god be the undertone of the whole thing.

so what do you think? would it be something you all would read?

I think its a great idea! Heck, there are a lot of people out there that need to know:

a) that being Mormon doesn't mean fitting into some bizarre mold of psuedo, self-righteous perfection, and;

b) that there are all types of people, and that's what makes the world a wonderful place!

Personally, I think you should blog however you feel good.

Hope my emails aren't too much, I'm just trying to encourage everyone to get in on the action!

It's important to be comfortable being yourself. Nothing wrong with not being part of the norm. But also nothing wrong with being part of the norm. Just enjoy being yourself.
