we have lots of wasps in our yard and one of them took a liking to William.
crawling all over his feet and legs. i told Will not to move hoping it would just fly away on its own... but instead of flying away, it flew right up his shorts! AHHHHHHH!( i was surprisingly calm) although the thoughts of him getting stung and the possibility of having to rush him to the hospital were playing over in my head!
not knowing exactly what to do... should i take his shorts off? should i just keep him standing there still as possible? should i have him shake a bit? now i don't know why i decided to pick him up! sounds like a stupid thing for me to do, but i slowly lifted him and as i did the wasp flew right out! disaster avoided! and i thank heaven for those kinds of little blessings.
although now the once healthy fear William had of bees is gone and he now says "bees are not mean! they like me! they don't bite or sting! they are good bugs!"
(rolling my eyes and exasperated sigh)
