my new favorite book

So my sister in law told me I needed to read this book, she said I promise Alina you will love it, its like a soap opera with vampires!.... vampires I thought to my self rolling my eyes at the thought, I have never been into the whole mythical creature, gore and fantasy thing, but i politely said i will have to check it out. I think she sensed my aversion because she didn't give up there she said "NO! ALINA! you really need to read the book! so I sighed OK and went to the library web site to put the book on hold for me, to my absolute shock there were 128 holds for the stupid book! I guess its not so stupid i thought to my self. Which then had me intrigued so i Googled the title ....twilight, by Stephanie Meyer and all the reviews were the same "the best book ever!" " I couldn't put it down!" "a new york times #1 seller!"

So I decided then and there i was gonna try to read this book. I said try because I am a total book snob. and most books I start I never finish because i just don't have the attention span for any thing that doesn't hold my interest. i decided i wasn't gonna wait for 128 people to read the book before me, so i went to the store and picked it up, the plain black cover with two hands cupping an apple made me sceptical again, but you know what they say... never judge a book right? and i am so glad i didn't! when i got home i mindlessly turned on a movie for the kids, plopped down on the sofa and started the first chapter.

I was shocked when the kids started screaming I looked up and the movie was over and they wanted to watch it again! did time really fly so fast! I looked at the page number 102 ... wow! I guess so! unwilling to put my book down I agreed to the kids request knowing i would be able to read more if their minds were enthralled by the astronauts, robots and aliens on the screen (William is going through a Zathura phase) any ways, needless to say I finished the 1st book in A day and a half ! quite a feet considering I have 2 little munchkins to take care of.

The second book I started and finished in the same amount of time. now i haven't started the 3rd book yet but i can hardly wait! I haven't connected with a book like this in... well ever! I felt all of Bella's giddiness, and her pain just as if it were me in the pages. I curled my self in a ball and just sobbed along with her. I was kept up at night wondering how things were going to end up, i dreamed about the vivid characters as if they were as real as my own friends.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! and even though Shawn says its no better then a cheesy WB teen soap opera, i cant get enough! and i would recommend it to any one! oh by they way they are making it into a MOVIE!!!!! yea!!!!!!!!!
