So I have decided I want to try to be a writer. Funny coming form some one who as a child thought books were the enemy the worst kind of evil and wanted nothing to do with them. LOL funny how life works out. Subsequently I don't have many great novels under my belt. But would love to know what it is about different books that keep you reading and interested?
Do you like detail, character development, relate-ability, action, romance? (wink, wink) which books you all enjoyed the most and why. Not that I am asking for a 2 page report or any thing, just if you were to recommend a book what would it be and why. Oh and if any one says Harry Potter, I am not talking to you ever again! LOL!

i really enjoy books like work and the glory and faith of our fathers. the kind of epic sagas that are historical fiction with lots of vivid characters and story plots all interweaving into the master pieces of literature they are.
