sick again

so as i predicted my whole family is sick, and by the looks of it we will all still be sick at Christmas. it is devastating to me that at this time of year, when we should be happy and making merry memories with the kids we are stuck at home with boxes of used tissue scattered all over the floor, and wrestling kids to take their medicine, and the constant buzz of the humidifiers as the background music to the kids screaming , sneezing and coughing. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME! however there is something nice about us all being sick, like we all snuggle up together on the couch with our blankets and watch Christmas movies, as we sip on warm apple cider and eat homemade cookies. or that Shawn who is such a busy body actually takes some time to sit still and cuddle with me and the kids, however right now he is down stairs cleaning out the garage, LOL (because that's conducive to feeling better.) i am grateful it is only colds though, and in the light of the tragic events close to us, we still have our home and precious things, and i know we will get over these colds and my kids will be healthy again. and our Christmas will still be wonderful with or without the runny noses. our Christmas singing might not be, but i am still gonna do it!
