i'll never take down the tree!

so now that Christmas is over and we have no more company coming over Shawn and i decided it was time to take down the tree, how ever William in his very most angry voice yelled, "NO, I'LL NEVER TAKE DOWN THE TREE" and every time i would take off an ornament he would just fall apart, so we left it up 2 extra days, the saddest part was when i took down the stockings he didn't like that one bit, he kept saying ...but the candy the candy! i need more candy! (my kids are hopelessly addicted to sweets) and the thought that Santa now didn't have a place to hide candy for William made him quite distrot. not to mention the stocking has always been Williams favorite part about Christmas morning...( last year when we put up his stocking he said in a very worried voice, is the Grinch is gonna steal my stocking )....so i sat him down and explained that Santa only comes once a year so it would be ok to put his stocking away and i promised we would take it out again next time Santa comes. but it is always a little bit sad to un decorate your home after Christmas, no more pretty twinkling lights and pretty ornaments to look at, no more brightly colored stockings adorning the cold rock fire place. no more pine needles scattered on the floor.... wait, i am not sad about that. but i do miss the happy warm feeling and excitement of Christmas that is now gone and i have to wait a whole nother year for Christmas to come again, i find myself starting to agree with William, and I'll never take the Christmas tree down! but Shawn will, and did. LOL! any ways, i hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and i hope that we can keep the memories of special times in our hearts all year round!
