snow day!

yesterday was the 1st snow day of the season! it started snowing at about 7 am and didn't stop till late into the night! so we are pretty much snowed in!

(but i was SO okay with that! )

specially when it means Shawn gets to stay home and we get to find fun ways to fill the time and stay warm!

it was so funny/sad when William woke up and saw the snow out side he got all excited and said... "oh, mom its Christmas!!! look at all the snow!"
to which i had to break his little heart and say...
" no , its not Christmas, its just snowing!"
but i think we made it a fun day none the less! ~

we ate cookies and hot cocoa! watched Christmas movies, made snow cones with"real" snow! built a fire (in the fire place) and did a lot of snuggling!

but i think my kids favorite part of our snow day was being outside playing in it!
