the Japanese gardens

my friend Stacie had the terrific idea to go check out the Japanese gardens
while the fall colors were in full swing! and let me tell you it was just beautiful!

since my mom has never been to the gardens, and i am to chicken to drive into Portland by myself, she came along too, and i was so glad she did because i needed all the help i could get!

its a bit of a hike up to the garden but at least it was pretty!

(evidently we were not the only ones who thought it was a great time to see the gardens.
it was seriously packed with more tripods and cameras then a Hollywood red carpet event!)

William, Stockton and Ivy +2 photographers!the coi pond was the kids favorite attraction! the fish were huge and numerous
grandma, and the kids

i tried so hard to get some posed smiling pics of the kids but i guess it just wasn't meant to be!
this was as close a smile as i was gonna get! LOL
while William and grandma went off on their own adventure...
Ivy and Stockton had one of there own!

what could be so wonderful that 2 toddlers would actually stand still for a bit?a hidden stream of water!i totally thought he was gonna fall in!
no fish in this pond!
fun little fountains are hidden everywhere!it was a grand adventure!

I wish I was there too so I could help out with the kids. Looks like it was a better time than when you and I first went. The water looks so clean this time of year.
