we started off with yet another hay ride!
(which obviously my kids love!) LOL
Farmer John drove us to the field of pumpkins! which was nice, cause they were all pre-cut cleaned off and lined up, and the kids loved running through them!
(all the munchkins looking for pumpkins!)
where they showed us there big smelly storage facility for the 3 different types of potatoes they grow, which were yellow, red and purple. then they gave the kids a bag full of the 3 types of potatoes to take home and try... (which we did and funny enough yellow red and purple potatoes mixed together make grey, dirty looking mashed potatoes... but they were still tasty!)
then the kids got to play in the hay maze
( there was a farm animal display in there too,
but i figure you have all seen chickens and goats and cows before)
William, Emily, and Amelia all have October birthdays so we celebrated with yummy cupcakes!
then to top it off, the kids got to play on the swing set...!
what a fun morning!!
try keeping 10 little 2, 3 and 4 year olds from climbing a mountain of potatoes...
it's fun!
