one day i found William sitting by the laptop and he had taken the disk drive out and popped off the side face plate! furious with, 1st my self for not watching him closer and 2nd that he would do such a thing i yelled "William you broke it! why would you do that! you're in big trouble!" he then looked up at me with those big eyes and with a puzzled look on his face as if he didn't understand why i was so mad said "but mom, its not broken, i am just not done fixing it yet!"
last summer when Joseph and Shannon and Bree and Jacob were up visiting, Joseph and Shannon took me out to lunch while Bree and Jacob stayed home to watch our kids, so about 10 minutes after we left the house i get a call from Bree saying we cant find William! as luck would have it my mom remembered seeing him in her master bathroom going potty before we left so we told her to check there. sure enough, he was up there still sitting on the pot, and when he saw Bree's face pop in asked, so are you here to wipe my butt?!
we were at the park up the street from us when William spotted a little garden racer snake! he was so excited! he was fallowing it around trying to catch it, and in the sweetest voice would say " stop snake! don't be scared i wont hurt you." he finally caught him in his little red cap and took him home to show dad and then after he was done playing with it let him go in our back yard garden to live.
William hates going to primary! he hates it! so it is always a struggle getting him into the primary room as i was carrying him down through the busy hall one Sunday and in an attempt to get out of it, he screamed "i don't want to go to primary! i don't like Jesus! i am not a child of god! i am not a child of god!" i was so embarrassed!
but just a few weeks ago he topped it when in the middle of the sacrament... the quietest part of the meeting, he decided he needed to compliment me so in a louder then church whisper voice said... "mom i like your boobs!, mortified i grabbed him close to me to shush him. which evidently was the wrong thing to do because he thought it was funny, and then yelled it out for a second time! every one turned to look at me and i was just frozen in shock as Shawn took him and handled our son, right there in front of every one and made him apologize. but it was definitely one for the books!
we were at my moms house when i told William he had to help me clean up the big mess he made instead of doing what i asked he sat down on the fire place bricks and said "no mom how about you clean them up and i will sit here and watch you, that's a good plan."
we were watching American idol and it was Dolly week, William usually doesn't pay any attention to the TV when its on but when Dolly came out to sing William stopped in his tracks and ask who is that girl, so i told him it was DOLLY, he then with out ever taking his eyes off the screen said she is my favorite! lol me and Shawn couldn't stop laughing as we tried to get him to tell us why. we never got an answer but it sure wasn't because of her singing! lol
