the surgery went really well no complications, i didn't even get sick from being put under! which in itself was a tiny miracle! every thing was going on track until Friday when i felt like the pain was getting worse instead of better,
it felt like someone was taking a hot burning lighter to my leg and holy goodness it was not fun, but Shawn reminded me " well you did just have some veins ripped out of your legs" so i just kind of accepted it was gonna hurt and hoped it would feel better in the morning....
but the next morning it was not even close to better it...was a red blistering oozy mess and i felt like my leg was slow roasting over a camp fire!
i call the surgeon on call and he says take off the tape, so i did once again hoped it would start to feel better... 2 sleepless nights later and a battery of phone calls to the Dr. i finally i get into see him, i think he must have thought i was over exaggerating because when he saw my legs he said a few "colorful words" and in total shock tells me this is the worst reaction he has ever seen and is trying to decide if he should send me to the ER or not,
he ends up putting me on 2 types of steroids, antibiotics and a some major pain killers that unfortunately .... did nothing for my pain! so after another sleepless night and not much change, we go back to the Dr. the next morning. and they have nothing more they can do to help other then up the pain killers and recommend me to a specialist, who i saw, and who also was very impressed by my burns, but at least he gave me some numbing cream and that only worked the first 2 times i used it. urrrg! and the night mare continues, but i am happy to say that after about 2 week of hell i am now on the upswing and i got 4 hours of sleep last night and, hope for a few more tonight!

HOLY COW!!!! Are you getting better now? Wow. I can see why the Dr. was saying a few choice words! Those are impressive war wounds! lol Love and miss you!
Oh man, Alina. Even in pictures it looks horrible. But I'm glad you're getting better now.
By the way, I loved how you said that the specialist was "impressed" with it... ;)
